What If I Told You One Question Could Change The Way You See Your Entire Life?
Some questions aren't meant to be answered quickly.
They're meant to be carried. To be revisited. To quietly reshape the way we see ourselves and the lives we're creating.
Over the past few months, I've found myself reflecting on a series of deeply personal questions. Not questions about success or achievement, but questions about something much more fundamental: our relationship with life.
Our relationship with fear and purpose. With grief and love. With time and forgiveness. And, perhaps most importantly, with ourselves.
At first, I thought of them as separate reflections. Different questions prompted by different experiences, conversations and moments in my life. But the more time I spent with them, the more I realised they were all leading me back to the same place:
What is your relationship with your life?
It's a simple question, but not necessarily an easy one to answer.
We spend so much of our lives focused on what we're doing — what we're building, achieving, managing, planning or working towards. We measure progress in milestones and accomplishments. We fill calendars, make plans and move from one responsibility to the next.
But how often do we stop to consider our relationship with the life we're living while we're busy living it?
Are we present in it?
Are we making choices that reflect what truly matters to us?
Are we holding onto things that no longer serve us?
Are we giving enough of ourselves to the people and moments that matter?
And are we creating a life that actually feels like our own?
Making Space for Better Questions
Reflections with Yvette isn't about having all the answers. I certainly don't.
It's about making space for better questions.
Each week, I'll be sharing a new reflection drawn from my own experiences, the lessons life has taught me, and the conversations I believe more of us need to have.
We'll explore love, loss, fear, purpose, boundaries, time, forgiveness, identity and legacy — not as abstract ideas, but as parts of the lives we're living every day.
Some reflections may resonate immediately. Others may not. And some questions may stay with you long after you've finished reading.
That's really the point.
Because sometimes the most meaningful questions aren't the ones we answer immediately. They're the ones we carry with us — the ones that quietly influence a conversation, a decision, a relationship, or the way we choose to spend our time.
My hope for this series is simple:
That somewhere in these reflections, you find a question that stays with you.
One that makes you pause.
One that encourages a conversation you haven't had.
Or perhaps one that changes, even slightly, the way you see your own life.
Welcome to Reflections with Yvette.
